Goals from four different players lifted the Fort Collins High School boys soccer team to a 5-2 win over Loveland at home on Thursday.
A second-half surge from the Lambkins proved to be the difference after entering halftime tied with the Indians 2-2.
Blake Moncur led Fort Collins with two goals and one assist.
Max Bostak, Alec Fronapfel and Connor Lowdermilk each added one goal. Jake Rudel contributed two assists while Bostak and Zach Hill chipped in one each.
Fort Collins is ranked No. 5 in Class 5A in this week’s CHSAA poll.
The Lambkins (8-1, 4-1 Front Range League) have won back-to-back games since being dealt their first loss of the season last week.
LIBERTY COMMON 3, JEFFERSON ACADEMY 2 — The Eagles notched their fifth straight win on the road against the Jaguars, who are No. 4 in 3A.
Rob Knab, James Keaten and Josh VanVleet each put past an unassisted goal. Jack Hosek recorded 13 saves in net.
Heritage Christian improves to 6-0-1.
HERITAGE CHRISTIAN 3, UNION COLONY 0 — Caleb Wickstom put past two goals and Alex Erickson scored one in the Eagles’ league opener at home.
Heritage Christian has won three straight games and improves to 5-2, 1-0 Region 7.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN 175.225, LOVELAND 140.600 — The Lobos had first-place individual finishers in every event in their win on the road.
Julie Piz won both the all around and vault. Autumn Bottke was first in beam, Krysta Cotier in floor and Aidan O’Connell in bars.
THOMPSON VALLEY 160.075, FORT COLLINS 157.900 — Lindsay Carver was first in all around and second in both bars and floor in the Lambkins defeat on the road.
Katie Dumm was second in beam and third in bars, all around and vault. Lena Ray added a top-three finish in floor, placing third.
FORT COLLINS 9, POUDRE 8 — CC Curran went 2 for 4 with a home run, double and two RBIs in the Lambkins’ crosstown win at home.
Airanna Cordova led Poudre, going 4 for 5 with a home run, three runs scored and a stolen base.
Fort Collins improves to 12-4, 6-2 FRL. Poudre falls to 4-12, 2-6 FRL.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN 17, GREELEY WEST 4 — Melanie Stajduhar went 4 for 4 with a home run in the Lobos’ win on the road.
Rocky Mountain had 17 total hits. The Lobos improve to 12-4, 5-3 FRL.
LOVELAND 8, FOSSIL RIDGE 5 — The SaberCats surrendered five runs in the fifth inning in their loss on the road to No. 5 Loveland, snapping a five-game win streak.
Haley Donaldson went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Fossil Ridge falls to 10-5-1, 5-3 FRL.
WINDSOR 7, FREDERICK 0 — The Wizards dropped only three sets among their doubles matches in their road win.
Blake Pendleton and Max McManigal claimed No. 1 doubles by score of 6-1, 6-0.
Nathan Tucker and Jacob Liberty won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles, as did Clay Grave and Jackson Cline at No. 3 doubles.
FOSSIL RIDGE 3, GREELEY WEST 0 — The SaberCats notched their fifth straight win in a sweep at home.
Riley Zuhn and Brynn Montgomery led with 10 and six kills, respectively.
Fossil Ridge improves to 9-3, 5-0 FRL.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN 3, POUDRE 0 — Macie Linne led the Lobos with eight kills in their 28-26, 25-13, 25-21 sweep at Poudre.
Emiley Larson had a team-high 11 digs and Morgan Weatherwax dished out 18 assists.
Rocky Mountain improves to 10-2, 6-0 FRL; while Poudre falls to 9-6, 3-2 FRL.
RESURRECTION CHRISTIAN 3, HERITAGE CHRISTIAN 1 — The Eagles won one set against the No. 1 Cougars (2A) in their loss at home.
Sarah McGinley had eight blocks and Ashley Glasgow recorded 21 digs.
The Cougars improve to 12-0, 7-0 Mile High League while the Eagles fall to 8-5, 4-3 MHL.
WINDSOR 3, FREDERICK 1 — The Wizards won their sixth consecutive match on the road 25-19, 22-25, 25-6, 25-23.
No individual statistics were reported. Windsor improves to 11-2, 7-1 in Tri-Valley League play.
LOVELAND 3, FORT COLLINS 0 — Gracyn Vogesser led the Lambkins in kills with 11 in their 25-16, 25-21, 25-9 defeat on the road.
Kaina Roegkasse added seven kills. Fort Collins falls to 7-5, 4-2 FRL.
