Big Game Will Determine Remainder of Season | USA Today High School Sports

It has been a long time since Colt football has had a game that could be listed under the category “make or break.” Well, now they can say that will be the case.

Tomorrow night, the Colts will face their biggest test of the season yet, as they face Bethel Park at home in what will be a crucial game determining where the Colts stand in the legitimacy category.

Although the game will mean nothing in terms of where the Colts stand in the Parkway Conference, as it is an out of conference game, it would look impressive, and would be an absolute confidence builder if they can pull off a win against a successful AAAA team.

“We definitely feel confident that we can take down Bethel” said junior linemen Nathan Keifner. “We’re coming off some big wins, and we hope to continue that winning all the way to the WPIAL title game.”

Fans that will be in attendance are anticipating a good game too.

“The atmosphere is really fun and the food is really good and should add up to a really good game” said sophomore Julie Segel.

Julie is one of many students who will be attending the game tomorrow night, looking to cheer on the Colts and maybe be an influence on the outcome of the game.

Overall, it is an exciting time to be a Colt. The calendar has flipped to October, the football team is getting hot, and the weather is cooling off and becoming comfortable.

Tmorrow night will be a major test for this veteran laden squad, but the odds are in their favor, and the momentum is on their side. Look out, tomorrow night could be the birth of great things to come.
