Intersport and ESPN announced on Thursday morning that the 2016 Under Armour All-America Game presented by American Family Insurance will be played at the Orlando Citrus Bowl this year.
The game, showcasing the nation’s premier high school football talent, will be played on Saturday, Jan. 2 at noon ET on ESPN2, and will take place in Orlando for the first time since 2009, when it was held at the formerly named Florida Citrus Bowl. New upgrades in 2014 redesigned nearly 90 percent of the stadium, with reconstruction worth $207 million.

“We are honored that the Orlando Citrus Bowl will once again host the Under Armour All-America Game at their world-class facility in 2016,” said Drew Russell, Vice President of Sports Properties for Intersport. “Along with our partners, ESPN and Under Armour, we look forward to showcasing the brightest talent that high school football has to offer in one of the most revered stadiums in the country.”
In previous years, practices have been held in Orlando while the game itself was played in St. Petersburg at Tropicana Field.
