Auburn Tigers and the California Golden Bears had planned a home and home football series in 2019 and 2020, Carr announced today. 2019 race will be the two schools, including the first meeting between more than 2400 miles separating.
Auburn will be held September 21, 2019 Series in Jordan – Hare Stadium in the first game Tigers will travel to face the Golden Bear at Kabam live in California Memorial Stadium on September 19, 2020.
Auburn is coming home and home series of the fourth California has arranged for a team of 5 from the power conference. Golden Bears will face Texas (2015-16), North Carolina (2017-18), and TCU (2020-21).
“In the past few years, we have been able to several new competitors into our schedule, we believe that our fans will love to see our team will be excited to play,” athletics Mike Williams, California interim director said. “As a traditional strength from the Southeastern Conference, Auburn certainly fits that description, and provides us with an opportunity to face a school with a strong national image.”
In addition, California earlier plans to BYU on September 16, 2017 to complete the home and home series, and later began the season (November 29). Today’s announcement shows that 2017 game in Provo has been moved to September 8, 2018.
Carr also announced today that three other FCS schools their future football schedule – South Dakota in September 3, 2016, Weber September 15, 2018 the State Council on September 9, 2017, and Idaho.
For Auburn, this series to meet California’s 2019 and 2020 season schedule tasks their strength. Tigers also play home and home series with Clemson in 2016 and 2017.
